Studies, literature and statements on Hyaluronic Acid

  • Springer Lexikon Kosmetik, page 198

Comes in human connective tissue, can bind a large amount of water and be stored in the connective tissue matrix, which gives the skin a smooth and full appearance Moisture-giving and protective effect. Builds an invisible film which allows respiration, which protects the horny layer from drying out. For biotechnological manufacturing Recommended.

  • Kursbuch Kosmetik, page 156

Strong moisture enricher, caring, tightening, builds a film on the skin which fixates moisture, effective on the skin surface so that the smoothing effect is left if hyaluronic acid products are taken away. Recommended material.

  • Wörterbuch der Kosmetik, page 138

Is an essential component of connective tissue. For cosmetic purposes, it is no longer made from rooster combs but produced biotechnologically.

Even 1% aqueous solutions of hyaluronic acid form a viscoelastic network through intermolecular clustering that binds the water extremely tightly. Hyaluronic acid is therefore recommendable as a moisturizer for skin care, because it forms an invisible, air-permeable film that protects the dermis from dehydration even at low relative humidity. Hyaluronic acid is non-toxic, non-allergenic, and non-irritating. Sodium hyaluronate is also used.
